In-home ABA Therapy

In-home ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) services allow skills to be targeted in their most natural environment-home. Family Nest was created with the goal of  clients receiving services in their most comfortable space.  Each client has unique needs and because of this in-home ABA therapy sessions look different depending on the client's goals. Hours of service per week vary depending client's needs. Parent coaching sessions are required as a part of in-home ABA service.

Initial In-Home Consultation

In-home ABA therapy begins with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) performing a detailed assessment.  BCBA’s use evidence-based assessments such as the VB-MAPP, ABLLS-R, AFLS, EFLS, and PEAK. This is combined with interviews and direct observations to determine the client’s current skill levels. Additionally, the BCBA is open to collaborating with school staff and other community providers to provide a comprehensive system of support for each client.  Being a great support for families is Family Nests biggest mission.

Advantages of In-Home therapy

In-home therapy provides the best setting for teaching clients daily living skills and implementing behavior management programs. It allows the specially trained ABA technicians to apply these programs in the environment where the behavior will take place.

Structure of In-Home Therapy

The structure of in-home ABA therapy will depend on the goals being addressed and the client's needs.  Our goal is to make ABA therapy exciting and fun! Clients should look forward to their sessions just as much as their technician. We utilize discrete trial teaching procedures where specific learning trials are conducted and then generalized into play and social activities. We structure our sessions to be a mix of specific learning trials and fun activities that focus on building communication, social skills, and functional behaviors.
